Indian Railways has launched a new app called “RailONE” on July 1, 2025. This app is like a “super app” because it brings many railway services into one place. It’s a big step for Indian Railways to make travel easier and more modern for everyone.
The Railway Minister, Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw, launched the app. It was made by CRIS, the railway’s tech team. You can now get RailONE on your Android or Apple phone.
What RailONE Does for You:
Before, you needed many apps for train travel. Now, RailONE lets you do almost everything in one place:
- Book Tickets Easily: Get reserved, unreserved, or even platform tickets. You get a small discount (3%) if you pay with the new R-Wallet.
- Know Your Train: See where your train is right now, which platform it’s coming to, and if it’s late. You can also check your PNR status and find your coach on the platform.
- Food and Help: Order food to your seat. You can also book porters for luggage or a taxi when you arrive.
- Get Help: If you have a problem, you can report it and track it in the app. It also makes refunds and cancellations simple.
- Easy Login: Use your old IRCTC login. You can also use your fingerprint or a simple PIN to get in quickly and safely. You can even check train status without logging in fully.
- Future for Goods: It also has some features for businesses to check freight (goods) trains, showing it will grow to help with moving goods too.
A Few Small Bumps at the Start:
Like any new big app, RailONE had a few small issues when it first came out. Some people found it hard to log in, and there were a few minor glitches with payments or updates. Indian Railways and the CRIS team are working hard to fix these quickly. They are listening to what users say to make the app better and better.
