Today, Nitish Kumar took oath as the Chief Minister of Bihar for a record 10th time! The big ceremony happened at Gandhi Maidan in Patna. Thousands of people came to watch and celebrate.
Bihar Governor Arif Mohammed Khan gave the oath to Nitish Kumar. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, and many other big leaders were present. Everyone clapped and cheered loudly.
Two Deputy Chief Ministers also took oath:
- Samrat Choudhary (BJP)
- Vijay Kumar Sinha (BJP)
Along with them, 26 more ministers joined the new team. The new government has people from different parties, castes, and areas so that everyone feels happy.
In the recent election, Nitish Kumar’s NDA group won a huge victory – they got more than 200 seats out of 243. This is the strongest win for Nitish Kumar in many years.
PM Modi praised Nitish Kumar and said, “He is an experienced leader who will take Bihar to new heights.”
Nitish Kumar is now one of the longest-serving Chief Ministers in India. People call him the “Chanakya of Bihar politics” because he is very smart in making alliances.
The new government promises more jobs, better roads, schools, and hospitals for the people of Bihar.
